Shaderlight Contest Results

I won the Shaderlight "Winter Wonderland" contest I blogged about here! To be precise I won third place with the image seen above-- created in SketchUp and rendered in the easy-to-use Shaderlight program, available as a free trial download here. My prize was the full version of Shaderlight Pro and a 2GB wristband flash drive. Woo-hoo!! I'm going to have some fun with Shaderlight for sure.

Here are the other winners:

Luke Holdmann was the first place winner with this fantastic rendering

Abedallah won second prize for this cabin

I submitted more than one rendering of course. Here are some of my other entries:

I heard I nearly won with this rendering-- an English village

"Winter Wonderland" envisioned on a beach with a sand "snowman"

The relaxing beach scene at sunset.

so cool! love the 3rd place winterscene, but also think the village is great. have to say, the ferris wheel is astounding - but you were robbed by the second placer - yours was better!

Congratulations! I love your scene! Very old fashioned and wintry cool..

I just got the Lightup plugin to play with, I'm having fun learning it. Shaderlight does not come in Mac flavor yet...

Without partiality, I must say that your two models are more for my taste, they are wonderful !!!

Makes you want to try shaderlight...

Thank you everybody. I am glad the other contestants won too, and I am glad for your enthusiastic comments on mine as well. Ms. Reid, I think in a couple weeks (early March) there will be Shaderlight for Macs.
